Vita Time, 2020
These works explore perception, attention, and the quiet aesthetics hidden within the everyday. The series was created in response to the controversy surrounding the newly built Vita building at Tallinn University, which had been widely criticized by students and professors for its cold and impersonal interior.
Through a contemplative lens, the photographs invite viewers to slow down — to notice the subtle shifts of colour and light that unfold throughout the day, and to find unexpected compositions in the space. What initially appears sterile gradually reveals a quiet geometry and harmony.
At its core, Vita Time is an exercise in seeing — an invitation to pause, to look closer, and to rediscover presence in the seemingly mundane spaces we move through every day.
